P.C. Doherty
Mystery writer Paul Doherty is a man of many names. His books have been published under the names P.C. Doherty, Anna Apostolou, Michael Clynes, Paul Doherty, Ann Dukthas, C.L. Grace, Vanessa Alexander, and Paul Harding. Given that he writes three or more novels per year, it is perhaps fitting that he has so many pen names.
Born in Middlesbrough, England in 1946, Doherty was educated at Woodcote Hall and studied history at Liverpool and Oxford. In addition to his prolific writing, Doherty helps to raise his family and is the headmaster of a London school.
Doherty's specialty has been in the increasingly popular historical mystery field, setting his books in various medieval periods in both England, Egypt, Greek, and elsewhere.
