Catie Murphy went from wannabe to author in a stunning sweep.
The Alaskan native had long been interested in writing and held various jobs after graduating with a degree in English and History.
After attending a writer's conference, she set a goal for herself to get published within three years. In that third year, not only did her first book get published, but she landed contracts for two series which would publish four of her books and one novella in a 12-month period.
Catie Murphy writes under two names. C.E. Murphy is her pen name for her fantasy novels while Cate Dermody, her grandmother's maiden name, graces the covers of her adventure novels.
