James Swain
James Swain has parlayed his expertise in gambling into a popular mystery series that features an ex-cop who exposes cheaters. Swain, a Florida resident, is often called one of the best card handlers in the world. Swain is also a magician who published books on card handling and magic.
In 1987, James Swain witnessed a casino cheat in Las Vegas-an event which led him to begin researching casino frauds. In an interview with the Las Vegas Mercury, he said the research helped him find an area of crime that hadn't been written about.
